Managing your inbox efficiently can save you hours each week. With a few tweaks to your Gmail settings, you can transform your email experience into a streamlined process. In this blog post, we’ll explore how to enhance your Gmail setup by implementing labels and enabling the Multiple Inboxes. Let’s get started!
1. Creating and Applying Labels
Add three new labels in the picture below: Follow Up
, To Read
and Waiting Response
.
2. Update the Color of each Label
Update Follow Up
to red.
Update To Read
to green.
Update Waiting Response
to yellow.
3. Enabling the Multiple Inboxes
The Reading Pane allows you to view emails and your inbox at the same time, eliminating the need to constantly switch back and forth. Here’s how to enable it:
Step 1: Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner to open Settings.
Step 2: Select “See all settings”, then go to the “Inbox” tab.
Step 3: Select “Inbox type” to “Multiple Inboxes”.
Step 4: Setup “Multiple inbox sections”, and set as the following:

Step 5: In the “Multiple inbox position” section, choose “Right of the inbox”. You can have the pane to the right of your inbox your email list.
